Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – iRASD Research Grant 2024

Background:
The International Research Alliance for Sustainable Development (iRASD) is pleased to announce its 2024 call for research proposals to support innovative, impactful projects advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative aims to mobilize leading researchers, institutions, and teams to address pressing sustainability challenges through original research, applied solutions, and capacity building.

Scope & Priority Areas:
Proposals are invited in all areas directly or indirectly related to the SDGs, including but not limited to:

1. Poverty alleviation, food security & sustainable agriculture (SDG 1 & 2)
2. Quality education, gender equality, and reduced inequalities (SDG 4, 5, 10)
3. Clean water, sanitation, and health (SDG 3 & 6)
4. Affordable and clean energy, climate action (SDG 7 & 13)
5. Decent work, economic growth, and sustainable industry (SDG 8 & 9)
6. Sustainable cities, responsible consumption, and ecosystem protection (SDG 11, 12, 14, 15)
7. Peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16)
8. Partnership building and innovation for the SDGs (SDG 17)

Eligibility:

Project Lead must be a full-time faculty member, researcher, or a senior professional at a recognized institution (university, research center, think tank, or registered NGO).

Multidisciplinary and collaborative teams (national or international) are strongly encouraged.

Only one proposal per Project Lead will be considered.

Project Duration:
06–12 months

Funding:
Up to Rs. 0.5 million per project (including all direct and indirect costs).
